Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-28
Mockversation is a free tool that turns text into chat and social-media mockups. We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. This page explains what we store and the cookies we use.
Your content stays on your device
The mockups you create and the images you export are generated entirely in your browser. Your text and the resulting images are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
What we collect
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand anonymous, aggregated usage (pages visited, country, device type, broad interactions) so we can improve the tool.
Analytics only run after you accept cookies in the banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is sent. We use Google Consent Mode v2, so analytics start in a denied state by default.
We do not run advertising, we do not sell data, and you do not need an account to use Mockversation.
Cookies and local storage
Essential (no consent needed): we store your theme choice and your cookie decision in your browser’s local storage (keys “mv-theme” and “mv-consent”). These never leave your device.
Analytics (consent required): Google Analytics sets cookies such as “_ga” and “_ga_*” to distinguish visitors. These are only set after you accept.
Legal basis
Under the GDPR, analytics cookies are used on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookies” link in the footer, which reopens the banner.
Third parties
Google Analytics is provided by Google. Their handling of data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Data may be processed outside your country.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we don’t hold accounts or personal profiles, most requests relate to analytics data held by Google.
